Angela Pickel, QKA - VP of Retirement Services
As leader of the TPC 401(k) division, Angela is responsible for new business development, client onboarding, serving as a liaison for our advisors and clients, and driving process improvement initiatives. Angela specializes in 401(k) plan design and compliance consultation and achieved her Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designation through ASPPA in 2012. Angela is also a member of the Relius Administration National Daily User Group (RANDUG) and Great Lakes Relius Administration User Group (GLUG).
Angela brings over 19 years of Retirement Industry experience to The Payroll Company, formerly holding positions as Sr. New Business Pension Consultant, Relationship Manager, and Associate Relationship Manager.
Angela obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration – Finance/Human Resource Management from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Angela has also served as Treasurer for the Southwestern Wisconsin School District Parent/Teacher Organization and coached youth soccer. Outside of work Angela enjoys cheering on her kids at their sporting events, traveling, and staying active through a variety of fitness classes, outdoor recreation, and running.
Karen Knockel, QKA - Compliance Manager
Karen Knockel is Compliance Manager at TPC 401(k). She is in charge of leading our compliance testing and reporting team, keeping up to date on new legislation and changes, and also provides guidance on plan qualification and operational issues. Karen is also responsible for new business conversions, assisting clients with plan design, and facilitating the on-boarding process. Karen achieved her Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designation through ASPPA in 2012. She is also a a member of the Relius Administration National Daily User Group (RANDUG) and Great Lakes Relius Administration User Group (GLUG). Karen brings over 19 years of Retirement Industry experience to The Payroll Company, formerly holding positions of Senior New Business Pension Consultant, Compliance Testing and Reporting Specialist, and Client Consultant. Outside of work, Karen enjoys traveling, camping, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Lynn Sheehan - 401(k) Operations Manager
As 401(k) Operations Manager, Lynn is responsible for leading the Plan Set Up and Daily Operations team, streamlining processes and implementing process improvements, managing the quarterly billing process, and serves as a lead point of contact for Plan Sponsors. Lynn specializes in 401(k) operations and client billing. Lynn is also a member of the Relius Administration National Daily User Group (RANDUG) and the Great Lakes Relius Administration User Group (GLUG).
Lynn brings over 21 years of Retirement Industry experience to The Payroll Company, formerly holding positions as Trainer for various processing departments, Billing Supervisor and Project Specialist.
When not at work, Lynn enjoys hosting “Dinner & Movie” nights with friends and family and organizing book club with her sister-in-laws. Lynn also has an 80 acre farm that she helps run with her husband and sons, two of whom are currently in their freshman year at university.
Krista Lebeck - Retirement Education Manager
As Retirement Education Manager for TPC 401(k), Krista is responsible for the creation and development of education material, resources, and programs. Her focus is to construct and implement a strong and productive education program to be utilized by both advisors and direct clients, with a direct emphasis on improving overall plan health, and encouraging participant involvement. Krista has more than 15 years of experience in the retirement planning industry both with group retirement plans as well as individual wealth and investment management/advising. Krista’s outside-of-work interests include running and biking, attending sporting events, traveling (especially to Disney World 🙂 ), and spending time with her husband keeping up with their three young children and all of their activities.
Loran Decker - QKA - Lead Compliance Specialist
Loran joined TPC in 2018 with 20 years of experience in the retirement industry, specializing in compliance testing. He will be responsible for compliance testing and reporting, benefit calculations, audit support, quality assurance, manage work flow, and other various duties.
He received his Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designation through ASPPA in 2007 and received BA Degrees in Marketing from Loras College and Accounting from Clarke College.
When away from the office, Loran enjoys reading and spending time with family.
Matt Lane - Compliance Specialist
Matt began his career in the retirement services industry at TPC 401(k) in 2016 as a 401(k) Plan Administrator. In this role Matt was responsible for all daily activities of plan operations including contributions, distributions, trading, and serving as lead for participant account support. Matt has recently taken on the role of Plan Compliance Specialist. He is excited to continue learning more of the compliance testing, reporting, and benefit calculations side of retirement plan administration.
Matt is a member of Relius Administration National Daily User Group (RANDUG) and the Great Lakes Relius Administration User Group (GLUG).He obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting & Finance from Loras College. When not at work he enjoys spending time with his family and friends doing various activities.
Holly Digman - Implementation Support Coordinator
Holly is responsible for supporting the new business conversion process. Her role entails preparing key information for clients and communicating with all external and internal partners to ensure a smooth process for all associated with new business setup.
Holly brings over 25 years of Retirement Industry experience to The Payroll Company, formerly holding positions as an Account Administrator, Sr. Client Consultant, and Transition New Business Consultant-Team Lead.
Holly obtained her 2 Year Word/Data Processing Associate Degree through Southwest Wisconsin Vocational Technical College.
In Holly’s free time her family is her hobby -especially since becoming a Grandma to Landon Wesley Digman in May 2018! She says being a grandma is the best thing in the world.
Holly is also an avid reader, and enjoys watching history documentaries, politics, and walking daily.
Dan Huss - Implementation Specialist
Dan Huss serves as Implementation Specialist at TPC 401(k). In this role he is responsible for creating simple and effective retirement plans for the company and their employees. He accomplishes this by helping business owners and advisors identify goals, and then aligns them with the best plan to help obtain those goals.
Dan comes with six years of retirement experience with a focus on 401(k) Plans in the Compliance, Testing & Reporting as well as Client & Participant Services departments. In these roles, Dan has helped plans with participant counts of 2 to 2,000 and assets of $5,000 to $10M. Dan is happy to assist with your retirement plan, regardless the size and any needs you might have from day-to-day questions to plan amendments.
Dan is an avid kayaker, and in the summer months he enjoys softball and croquet with friends. On the weekends, Dan enjoys taking random day trips with his wife and children to different sites and events taking place around Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin area
Jillian Kronfeldt - Data Manager
Jillian’s role as Data Manager is to manage the conversion of incoming data for new business and outgoing data for deconversions,to process quarterly statements, handle account reconstructions, fund changes, and other miscellaneous projects.
Jillian brings over 12 years of Retirement Industry experience to The Payroll Company, formerly holding positions as Operations Officer, Benefit Processing Supervisor, and Data Specialist.
Jillian has completed Business Administration courses at Northeast Iowa Community College and Clarke College.
While not at work she can usually be found spending time with family, friends, and neighbors, hiking with their three dogs, golfing, or working on little projects around the house.
Emily Mier - Plan Set-up Specialist
Emily is the Plan Set Up Specialist and assists with daily operations. She has 10 years of previous operations and system experience in retirement, avionics and information technology. Outside of work she is busy keeping up with her daughter’s activities and she volunteers as girl scout troop leader. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, movies, and reading.
Dana Wolf - 401(k) Plan Administrator
As 401(k) Plan Administrator, Dana’s role includes the processing of contribution files, completing distributions from participant accounts, and other daily activities necessary for plan operations.
Dana graduated from Mount Mercy University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She came to TPC 401(k) in 2018 with three years of retirement processing experience. In her free time, she enjoys anything involving her dog, crafting, reading, and time spent with family.
